The 2024–25 season for some Wolves teams are already off to a strong start, even weeks before school begins. Soccer games began as early as August, and the Lady Wolves 足球 team made history playing their first matches.
Golf, 越野, and women’s volleyball matches are also in full swing. 九月初, the men’s and women’s 高尔夫球 teams played at Bushnell Fall Invite for their first conference tournament, with freshman Mariana Posada scoring in the top five. The women’s team tied for fifth overall.
For women’s volleyball, the energy of new coach Kiana Krumm is making waves. The team has an impressive 5-1 record for conference matches so far this season, including a win against Lewis-Clark State College for the first time in Wolves history.
克拉姆说, “This season we have brought in some amazing student athletes, and we are training hard to win.” The team has set goals to make it to playoffs and create a positive team culture. Krumm encourages fans to attend home games for the fun atmosphere and to support the student athletes.
Basketball games will start for the men’s and women’s teams in mid-October.
The 体育运动 program, across sports, encompasses more than 160 players from 27 different countries. “The goals of our program,内斯特·奥索里奥说, 田径主任, “are to get each one of us closer to the Lord, learning to care for and love one another, while pursuing excellence academically, 运动, 和精神上.”
The athletics program at 沃拉沃拉大学 provides the opportunity for student athletes to develop and exercise their athletic abilities, learn leadership skills, build lasting relationships, 精神上的成长. Athletic opportunities include men’s and women’s basketball, 越野, 高尔夫球, 足球, 和排球.
